Don't be Trashy!

We are trying our best at Swagger to become as "Green" as possible! A couple things we do over here that you can do too are:

1. We just started carrying these reusable super cute water bottles and have now banned plastic water bottles at the store! If you are like us and use plastic water bottles everyday, switch over to something like these bottles to save money and the environment!
2. We recycle shopping bags. If you have a stack of Swagger Bags at your house - bring them back in! We use them for various things around the store including sending off our monogramming orders! Every little bit helps!

3. We use recycled printer cartridges. We love Cartridge World in Cary! We refill our printer cartridges instead of them going into the landfills and at half the price! We spoke with the owner of Cartridge World in Cary, Dan Buccola, and he told us to offer you guys $2 off every cartridge purchased now through May 1st. Just mention the Swagger Blog!


We love saving the environment and keeping more money in our wallets - for shopping of course! We hope you do too - so don't be trashy!:)

Thank you, Thank you very much

We had an Elvis sighting!:) As much work as market is, it's a lot of fun too! The showrooms have parties with "celebrities", food, and my favorite - wine!:) I guess they realize they have to give us the good stuff to keep us going!

Today we went CrAzy! The amount of jewelry and purses that we purchased today was insane! I should have taken a picture of the 3 huge bags we filled up. The spring jewelry is so beautiful - bright colors and charms are going to be huge! I don't have a picture but everything will be in the store by this Wednesday so come by and check it out!

We also bought a lot of "green" stuff! I have see the green trend become popular over the last year or so and I am so excited that everyone is trying to do their part to make this world a better place. One of my favorite new items that we purchased at market were these awesome new recycled water bottles. You can use these instead of a plastic water bottle. They are 16 oz, resuable, BPA free, AND they come in cute colors!

Here are a couple facts about plastic water bottle:

» Americans use 25 million plastic bottles every hour – and most of them are thrown away!

» If every American household recycled just one out of every ten bottles they used, we could keep 200 million pounds of plastic out of landfills every year.

Green is good - but lets not forget how much money these bottles will save you so you can buy new shoes and purses (I am always rationalizing!) We will let you know when they come in and we will definitely have them on the web!

Happy 2009 everyone!

Two of my personal resolutions for this new year are to be more organized (in all aspects of my life - home, work, etc.) and to keep going green and reducing my carbon footprint one day at a time.

Fortunately, I won't have to sacrifice style along the way!
