Behind the Scenes @ Swagger - Our newest addition

And this time I'm not talking about the clothing expansion!  Of course that is going very well - here is a picture I just took today - totally looks like we are going to open next week - right?!  I love it though -so happy with all our design choices!

My Dad - our trusty carpenter!

The new addition I am talking about is mine and my husband's soon-to-arrive baby!  We are so excited for the arrival of our first child - due date January 4th!

Swagger's store manager, Kellie, told me the idea about a gender reveal party - which of course I thought was a brilliant idea - so we had one last weekend!  The week before we were super productive (not!) and were doing "arts and crafts" with our vinyl machine for the party!

Kellie can craft like it's nobody's business!

The party was held at my mom and dad's house and was so much fun! The results of the ultrasound - boy or girl - was hidden inside the cake!  I gave an envelope from my doctor to our baker (Jennifer Dail - her cakes are beautiful and tasty!) and she was instructed to make the cake either pink or blue depending on the sex of the baby.

I am addicted to owls right now so that was the theme of the party!  "Hoot Hoot - the results are in!"

We had everyone vote on what sex they thought the baby was going to be:
This is one of our crafting projects - turned out pretty cute if I say so myself!:)  Team Blue was winning but 1 vote when we cut the cake!

So what were the reults?  Well when we cut into the cake it was...

We had asked everyone to wear either pink or blue to the party to support "their team".  What did every one the Swaggerettes wear?  Pink - of course!

I love this pic!  We had to go with the "sorority pose" as my mom calls it so we could see the Baby Becker sign!

Susan voted for a girl too but she didn't make the group shot:(

We are super excited and can't wait for Little Girl Becker to be working at Swagger really soon!:)

Third Day of Market - Tech & Hostess Gifts

We were all over the place yesterday!  Buying all kinds of different stuff we've never had before.

We especially liked the cool "i" stuff.  Okay - so I'm addicted now that I have my new ipad 2 - and I love all the accessories!  And like I told my husband - you HAVE TO have some of these accessories to protect your investment (screen protector, sleeve, etc) so why not make them cute - right?!  Right!;)
I love these earphones - and not just because they are cute!  There is a mighty magnet on the back so you can attach it to your clothes when you are working out, in the car - basically wherever you are that you don't want your earphones tangled up in your arm!  And the wires go into the little circle thing when you aren't using them so they don't get tangled up.  AND they have a mircrophone so if you are listening to music and a phone call comes in you can take it.  Pretty cool - huh?!  We thought so!  Oh yeah - and it comes in lots of colors!

All the earphones have matching ipad protective screen covers and iphone cases.  The best thing about the cover is that it is front AND back so you can also use it as a stand - these people were really thinking!

We also found some really great food items - we love dips and drink mixes for hostess gifts!

These dips were our favorite!  Not only do they taste great but the packaging is awesome!  (And it is all about the presentation you know:))  We also purchased drink mixes and some dessert mixes like chocolate fudge and caramel dip - yummy!  Just writing this makes me want to go back today and get another sample!

Of course we got a lot more than that, but it is 8 am and time to head back to market to get MORE!  Can't wait to tell you about it tomorrow!

Market Day 2 - Function Gifts alert!

I am so tired that I am going to have to make this quick!:)  Make sure to check out our facebook page during the day - I am posting as I buy!

Today I found a ton of stuff I didn't know I was looking for!  I love it when that happens!:)  Super cool, super functional items!  I think you guys will love them too!  Here are a few items:

I love this bag!  I think it is going to make an awesome Christmas gift!  The top is a normal bag and the bottom part (under the zipper) is insulated!  How cool is that? It comes in several patterns.

Zebra tools - need I say more?  Love it!

This is a cutting board with a cheese knife - so cute!  I love the zebra again:)!

This was one of my favorite things I've found so far - it is a cuff that can go anywhere from your coffee mug to your wrist.  It can hold keys, your ID, cash - basically anything you want to have when you are on the go.  I think this is the perfect gift for any runner in your life!  If you run (or walk) you know you are always thinking - where do I put my key?!  Now it is easy to keep up with and out of the way.  And the cuff is really comfy - the back of it is stretchy so it will fit any arm!

So how do you like the functional gifts I found?

First Day of Market July 2011 abd we are loving Mud Pie!

We love this time of year!  It's like Christmas in July!

Today we spent a good deal of time previewing AND buying (of course!) Mud Pie's Fall 2011 Collection!  We are so excited because they got into more clothes and accessories for ADULTS!  We all loved the bathing suit cover ups this spring and they didn't disappoint with the fall collection of dresses, scarves, purses and more!  I really think they out did themselves when designing the fabrics - THANK YOU MUD PIE!

Here is a sneak preview but more pics will come when everything arrives at Swagger!

Let's start with scarves - how cute are these?!  I love the colors, flowers AND the key hole design to keep the scarf in place!  Of course there are matching gloves too:)

Cross-body bags are so popular right now and I loved this envelope shape - great for going out or shopping at the mall!

I love a new pair of slippers and look how cute these are!  But seriously - how am I supposed to decide which ones I want?

I just bought an ipad 2 for this market so you know I couldn't pass up these fabulous covers!;)  I looked all over for a cool cover before arriving in Atlanta and I couldn't find anything this cute, so you know I was excited to find these!  I can't wait until they come in! (And they come in most of the same colors of the slippers above - I guess I'll have to get them to match - ha!)

And finally for the new Swagger clothing addition  - this super cute green dress!  The drape of this fabric is great and I think it will look good on all body styles!

So what do you think?  Are you as excited as I am?!  Let me know your thoughts!
